Course Description:
This topic will provide you with a thorough analysis and discussion in order to understand the various types of workers’ compensation benefits which are available to injured employees. You will also be provided with an in-depth learning experience covering the various medical evidence and witnesses, factual evidence and witnesses and investigative evidence which can be effectively utilized to reduce future claim exposure. This information will present specific strategies to assess return to work motivation, risks and factors which can impact a prolonged period of disability and create barriers which influence return to work outcomes.

Learning Objectives
Completion of this course will better enable the course participant to:

  • Discuss the various types of workers’ compensation benefits available to injured workers.
  • Recognize the impacts of using medical experts to reduce the costs of claims in order to achieve case closure.
  • Identify some of the common return to work pitfalls to avoid.
  • Describe and resolve the significant barriers which delay the return to work scenario.
