Evaluation and Treatment of Shoulder Injuries: State of the Art 2019

Audience: Occupational medicine physicians, emergency medicine physicians, internists, physical medicine and rehabilitation specialists.

Speaker: Sherwin S.W. Ho, MD, professor of orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation, medical director, sports medicine fellowship program at University of Chicago Medicine, is an expert, specializing in minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle. He has served as faculty at numerous advanced arthroscopic shoulder and knee courses for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Ho currently serves on the academy’s Board of Councilors and is an official spokesman for the academy.

Learning Objectives: 1) Recognition of shoulder injuries based on physical examination; 2) Knowledge of current treatment regiments and evidence basis; 3) Knowledge of prognosis of differential surgical and medical therapies for shoulder injuries.
